What visual and textual attributes exist in today’s culture for women who are also mothers - and mothers who are artists? How can my practice challenge the traditional patriarchal role of mothering?  “What does motherhood do to change the idea we have of what an artist is?  What does being an artist do to change the idea of what a mother is?” (Helen Molesworth, S9 E7 Artist and Mother).

This is an exploration in materiality with image and video, using dryer sheets, silk, Lomography, text referencing aspects of my place, light, and spaces within and outside of my home.
