Inspired by early stages of dementia witnessed in a family member, Haptic Memoir (Epilogue to), Asymmetrical Memories, and the Sundowned series consider matrilineal agency within embodied gender roles, how generational inheritance defines experience, and how dissipating memory reimagines identity.

The installation and related works ask: How does memory inform how we see ourselves and how we engage others? How do persisting memories direct new experiences? How does memory guide relational connection? Installation components speak to the layered and complex systems of growth and loss. Installation portion includes voice.

Haptic Memoir (Epilogue To): Silk bridal voile, used dryer sheets, voice, microbial cellulose, bisque and second-fire clay husks, cochineal dye, dried and wax-preserved night-blooming cereus

Asymmetrical Memories: 50g and 200g skeins of alpaca yarn, printed cards, natural wood pencils, 16" and 18" circular knitting needles

Sundowned Series I-VIII: Image with dryer sheet used as filter, (archival ink-jet print on Hahnemühle for exhibition)
